Understanding ADLs, and where help matters most.
Activities of daily living (ADLs) are the essential tasks of everyday life: getting out of bed, using the toilet, bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. As needs change, these functions are typically affected in a hierarchy of loss.
- Early loss: hygiene tasks such as bathing and grooming
- Mid loss: toilet use and locomotion
- Late loss: eating
Wherever your loved one is on this journey, our caregivers meet them there with patience, skill, and dignity.
